My first hack attempt and football talk

Got home from work today, flipped over to the FTP server to see if anyone was on it and saw that someone was having problems logging in. They were trying to log on with the username Administrator and I thought that was odd. But then I just figured it was someones FTP client goofin' up. But it just kept going and going. But in my console the passwords are *****'d out. So I went into my server options and disabled the masking of the passwords, and then I saw:

The last two lines were my doing (when I noticed this was happening there was already like many many pages of backlog of the same thing). I went to dnsstuff.com, typed in the IP and it traces back to China. Niiice. Oh well, if I wanted to I could switch things up and make it harder to find, but I'm not all that worried. I put the IP in my ban list and just keep an eye and be vigilant.

Other than that little gem, should be a laid back evening as most are. What a great football weekend! The Ravens/Titans game was a low scoring nail biter the whole time. You could tell at least in the first half the field was in pretty bad condition, and for the whole game players were not getting up quick, if at all in some cases. The Titans were looking really strong in the begining, had some pretty big runs, and then their RB goes down. Then they just struggled to stay even for the rest of the game. I'm excited for the Ravens and people here in Bmore are getting excited but the Steelers are one of a few teams that they hate to play, and have had a hard time winning against. So people are really happy to be this far, but its hard to imagine them in the big dance yet.

Yesterday I watched the Giants/Eagles game and that was a good one too. I really started feeling bad for Eli Manning as the game went on. Not quite a Delhomme game (really 5 INT 1 lost fumble? wow) but Manning struggled bad, couldn't get connect with any of his receivers. McNabb looked good, not great, but good. It was snowing at the beginning of the game, but was just cold and a moderate wind. So the weather wasn't the best for the passes either.

Ok well that's all I got, I've been re-watching older South Park episodes, that show is so great. I have always liked the crazy places they take it. Also I watched Summer Rental yesterday at my father's recommendation and it was pretty good. I had seen it when I was very young, but didn't remember much of it. It was good, I found myself laughing at all the 80's stuff in it, oh man. Still had a few good laughs. RIP John Candy.

got into football in our old age? I never really got into it. I can watch it, as it's one of the more exciting sports to watch, but I follow baseball, and MMA more than anything else.

MMA is interesting once you actually can tell whats going on and not just two guys beating the snot out of eachother.

Yeah football is probably my favorite at the moment. I don't follow it closely by any means, I don't do fantasy leagues or nothing like that. But especially when a team "I know" is in the post season. I think that's probably what's got me in it this year. Earlier this season I actually spent like 20-30 minutes at the beginning of each Rams game finding the right utility/link that would get me the game streamed. And then they would always just lay a big turn on the field. So I stopped.

But now the Ravens are doing good, and the people are having fun and I do like the team I think they're good and play with a lot of "pluck" shall we say. So yeah, I think I might be on the verge of becoming a Ravens fan (fair-weathered or not,...).

I know a group of guys that follow UFC (which I'm lumping in with MMA because they're similar in my mind). One of them actually went to a local fight thing and got the snot kicked outa him :) Not the sharpest kid... but the others are bright and so I've always wondered what they saw in it.

So I don't really see the appeal. I guess you develop fighters you like to watch and then kinda follow them through tournaments? The few times I've seen bits of matches they are always locked in bear hugs and headlocks and never really "moved" I guess. But maybe thats where the difference are between MMA and the other stuff. Or maybe I just always catch the bad moments. I mean they are always cut to shit, and tired so I guess they had to have just done some shit I missed.

I digress. I'd be willing to watch it though and give it a shot.
